‘Australian Bills of Rights: the ACT and Beyond’ conference

This one-day event was hosted at The Australian National University by the Regulatory Institutions Network at The Australian National University, and the Gilbert + Tobin Centre of Public Law at The University of NSW, on 21 June 2006.

The conference considered the progress of the ACT Human Rights Act in its second year, and the developments in Victoria, Tasmania and at the federal level. Dr Petra Butler, from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, also provided a comparative perspective with lessons from the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act.
